Pymol for iPad has arrived

UPDATE 8.00AM:

One of the nicest features of Desktop Pymol is the ray tracing of molecules to make nice pictures such as that below. Pymol for iPad allows you, after you ray trace to save the image to the Photo Library, Dropbox or to Clipboard. This enables you to then paste it into something like Pages on iOS. Hmm, looks like I need to turn on iCloud Documents.

Pymol for iPad has been released August 17th. Haven’t done much with it save for download and install it, and generate the picture below using the default supplied PDB file, HMGCR with Lipitor bound. Structures can be downloaded from the PDB, Pubchem, Dropbox and Shrödinger servers. I shall give it  whirl and get back to you but in the meantime, lets see how it goes…
